The book design for Little Women, a beloved childhood classic of immense nostalgic value, was a labor of love. As a family, we share fond memories of seeing the story come to life on Broadway as our first musical experience together. To capture the essence of this cherished tale, I opted to use Adobe Caslon Pro, an Old Style typeface, paired with the unusual yet complimentary sans-serif typeface, Khand. The result is a unique and evocative typographical style that pays homage to the musical adaptation of the story. Attached are several spreads from the book, which measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches for individual pages and 11 x 8 1/2 inches for spreads.
